Most over-door hooks only work on one side of a room. We bent this steel piece into a reversible profile so it grips the top of the door and leaves a hanging point facing inward and outward. The matte black finish sits flat against dark woodwork or painted doors without drawing attention.

The two ends are shaped with slightly different clearance depths. Turn the piece upside down to match standard room doors or thinner cabinet frames, keeping the bracket seated flat against the top edge.
Because the frame wraps over the door panel, you get a hanging spot inside the room and another on the hallway side. Hang a robe inside the bathroom while keeping a towel on the outer face.
Soft adhesive pads stick to the inner metal channel before you slide it into place. They prevent bare steel from rubbing against painted trim, softening the fit and stopping the hook from rattling during drafts.
We formed the body from solid stainless steel coated in a baked black finish. It holds heavy winter coats, wet bath sheets, and full bags without bending out of shape or chipping along the contact edges.
