Dinner is rarely on time. A warming mat holds the food at serving heat while the table fills up, from a two-dish Tuesday to a holiday buffet line.

The mats warm up in minutes and hold dishes at serving heat for as long as the evening runs. Three lengths cover three tables: the 24 by 15 inch mat for weeknights, the extra large for a family spread, the extra long for a counter that doubles as a buffet.

Two of the sizes ship with a heat-resistant pad for the dish that comes straight from the oven. The electric tray is the classic shape of the same idea - a solid surface with the cord out the back.
