A coat ends up on the floor when there is no place to hang it. We bent a strip of metal into a single prong and dipped it in smooth rubber. It hangs over the top edge of the door, grabs the wood, and holds a heavy winter jacket without marking the paint.

The spine is solid metal that holds its shape under thick coats and damp towels. It will not bend down when loaded or wobble on the door frame.
We coated the entire hanger in thick rubber. The grip keeps jackets from sliding off onto the floor and cushions the metal against the door paint.
The hanger comes shaped for standard interior doors as well as thicker exterior panels. It slips on by hand without tools, hardware, or rental wall repairs.
The nude finish blends into pale wood and painted bedroom doors instead of drawing the eye. Other finishes exist across our line for darker rooms.
